Absolving Perfection
Your writing will never be perfect
The pursuit of perfection often prevents someone from fulfilling their dreams. You look to the heavens, at those who seem to tower above you, and the difference between seems insurmountable. That chasm had stopped me for years, hopeless of ever having a voice as profound as those above me. I had failed to realize in those wasted years that I was the weight keeping me from climbing any further. My doubts and comparisons had stopped me from expressing and practicing a skill I love. Embrace imperfection, embrace criticisms, and chase for improvement. This is my step forward in climbing that chasm, in reaching and chasing what I seek, instead of envying those above me.
